Earth Day at JDC

On Monday, April 22nd, we celebrated Earth Day at Jordan Downs Center. This will emphasize the lessons our after school program, The ONE Academy, teaches of environmentalism and sustainability. It achieved this by building on the lessons they learn from their garden, where they grow food they eat and flowers that help pollinators. This garden is thanks to our friends at Green Spaces LA!

This year’s theme is ending plastic waste and understanding the impact that plastics have on our environment. Our students made oceans in bottles, created snacks, and did much more to celebrate a day of making our planet happy and healthy!
