Jordan Downs Je T'aime: We Love Jordan Downs Appreciation Celebration

On June 7th we celebrated the LOVE of our community with our Jordan Downs, Je T’aime event. We honored our graduating students and the community members who impact our daily lives. It was a wonderful day celebrating Watts and we were so glad to see so many smiles.

To remind everyone of the love we feel for them, we transformed the gym at the Jordan Downs Center into the city of love: Paris! There were fun photo opportunities, French-inspired food, and music from our good friend Rakeem from SpreadLove Foundation!

Nearly 50 people were honored, including over a dozen community leaders and critical volunteers, nine students who had excelled in the past year and were each chosen by one of the CMH staff, and those who were graduating (be it from Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, or High school.)

We also recognized the close to 50 children who regularly took part in our after school program throughout the 2023-2024 school year.
