HOMEWORK HELP FOR STUDENTS IN WATTS
In Watts, they have below average test scores and overall school performance. They often live in crowded homes where concentrating on school is difficult. And as many as 50% never graduate from high school. We want to make sure they have a chance for the future.
What We Are Doing?
We are providing free homework help to low-income elementary school students in the Watts neighborhood and beyond. Eligible students will be from first through fifth grades. All sessions will be held via Zoom and will provide assistance with whatever academic subject the student needs: math, reading, writing, science, and other subjects. Session will take place in a one-on-one setting where you can provide individualized help. There’s no need for prior experience, and with online tutoring there’s no need for us to leave the house and risk exposure!
How Can I Make a Difference?
One-on-one homework help can help provide students with access to instruction that can help keep them on track with their educational goals and help to boost their test scores. Studies have shown that one-on-one help can make an enormous difference in students’ learning and achievement. Students with college-educated mentors are twice as likely to go to college themselves! You can improve a child’s entire educational journey.
So if you can spare a few hours a week to help a child in need toward the future they deserve, consider tutoring with us and making a real impact.
